New Happenings

Hey all, I hope you are doing well! I just wanted to send a little update as it has been quite a long time since I have added to this site. It's been a very busy year with gigs and getting my home recording studio set up and dialed in which allows me to do remote recording sessions on both the BanJoey as well as one of my Vintage drum kits. Lots goin on!

My gig schedule has been very busy albeit a slight calm down over the hot Florida summer which is welcomed. The heat can take a toll of us outdoor gigging musicians. One of the things I have been able to accomplish during the summertime calm down is a new BanJoey light rig.... There are a few musical environments that I play where even the BanJoey is too much. So... I went to the drawing board and came up with this little kit consisting of a Meinl BassBox as my kick, a hi hat with 12" hats, and a 12" Pandiero that I augmented by adding snares to it. It really soungs great! I have used it on a few gigs and have received very positive response so I believe it is a keeper. I have used it as described above and also with my Cajon set up as the kick drum (bottom half of the BanJoey kit). I will add pictures and video of it as soon as I learn how to do that.. lol! A website guru I am not so this is all very new to me. Let me know if you have an y questions about the new kit or use something similar in your world.
